Creative craft challenge - Make your own backing paper

Happy first day of summer!!!  Does it feel like summer where you are?  It's Tuesday 21st June and that means it's time for a new challenge at Creative Craft Challenges.  Nearly half the year has gone already!!!  I'll have to start thinking about Christmas cards soon!!!!

This fortnights challenge is to create you own backing paper.

For my card I have used the Some Odd Girl image "Bee Tia" coloured with copics and the backing paper is made using two stamps from one of our sponsors for this challenge Rainbow Studios.  It's been stamped with Memento black and I've sponged the edges with mustard distress ink.  I raided the little blue pom poms from my Brownie units stash of crafty items..

Our Sponsors for this challenge are:
Some Odd Girl who are offering some digis
and Rainbow Studios who are offering these two gorgeous stamps (as shown on my card)

Creative Craft Challenge - Movable Parts!

It's time for a new challenge over a Creative Craft Challenges and out theme for this fortnight is movable parts.

I had to put my thinking cap on for this one and a decision was made to have the central image mounted in an aperture on thread so it spins and sways.

I used the Stitchy Bear image "Goth Angel" coloured with copics and the DP's are from the Bo Bunny "Vicki B" paper pack.

I'd never made a card like this before, but I love the effect and will definitely do this again.

Our sponsors for this challenge are
Crafty Individuals with a stamp:

and Stitchy bear with some digi's:

B-craft-E - Kim Dutton the co -owner is offering 3 templates for their kinetic cards , side slide, sleeve pop-up and fantasia..

Gorjuss Girls "I Found My Family in a Book" challenge card

This is for my brothers partner Kerry who I introduced to the "Gorjuss Girls" a couple of years ago with a birthday card I made for her.  She loves them and now has a handbag and some of the cross stitch kits so I thought I would use one of the new stamps for this years card.

This card is based on the sketch over at Papertake Weekly and because Kerry loves to read I have used the Gorjuss stamp "I found my family in a book" coloured with copics.  The DP's are from the Daisy & Dandelion "Picnic Patch" paper pack.

It was traumatic but I resisted the urge to add lots of embellishments as I normally do, so no flowers just a piece of ribbon and 3 pearls.

Im entering this into the following challenge:
Fab'n'Funky - Whateva
Dream Valley - Stamp Something

For my card I have used the Whimsy Stamps digital image  "Mary the Magnolia Fairy" coloured with copics.  The DP's are from the Prima paper pack "Sweet Fairy".

We are sponsored for this challenge by Whimsy Stamps who are offering one lucky winner 5 digital stamps of their choice.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
